More About Vision Correction at Berks Eye Physicians

Berks Eye Physicians
Berks Eye Physicians and Surgeons offers state-of-the-art technologies and equipment, including the sophisticated CustomVue® Excimer Laser System. CustomVue is a combination of the VISX STAR S4 excimer laser system and the Wavescan® Wavefront system that tailors a distinct vision correction procedure for each individual eye. Dr. Izzo begins the custom LASIK surgery by using a Wavefront-guided computer system to create a unique fingerprint of the eye, which shows even its most minute refractive errors. Then, he user laser technology (bladeless) to create a flap in the corneal surface. The map is then used to calibrate the excimer laser, which the surgeon uses to reshape and correct flaws in the cornea. Finally, the corneal flap is returned to its original position where it acts as a natural bandage for the eye.
At Berks Eye Physicians, Dr. Izzo and his team provide personalized care for each LASIK patient. The patient is guided through his or her entire LASIK experience by Dr. Izzo and his team.
In addition to LASIK eye surgery, Berks Eye Physicians also offers cataract surgery, refractive cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment and retina care.
