John Doane, MD, FACS, has been performing LASIK since its approval by the FDA in 1995. An internationally renowned ophthalmologist and refractive surgeon, Dr. Doane has played a pivotal role in numerous FDA trials for vision correction procedures and the evolution of many cutting-edge techniques used in refractive surgery today. He is one of five refractive surgeons in the country involved in the clinical trials for SMILE, the latest laser vision correction technique approved by the FDA.

Dr. Doane earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in ophthalmology. A fellowship-trained refractive surgeon, Dr. Doane was been voted among the “Top 50 Opinion Leaders in Cataract and Refractive Surgery” and “Top 50 Laser Vision Correction Surgeons.” Dr. Doane is a former President of The American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery.

Stephen Stechschulte, MD, FACS, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at the University of California San Francisco. He completed a two-year fellowship in cornea, external diseases and refractive surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Randy Jackson, MD, FACS, received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia and competed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed a one-year LASIK and anterior segment fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. John Doane. Dr. Jackson is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has co-authored several book chapters in refractive surgery and presented his research at national ophthalmology meetings.

Lon EuDaly, OD, earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry and completed his residency training at the Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He performs LASIK consultations, routine vision care and management of diseases. Dr. EuDaly is a member of the Missouri Optometric Association and the Greater Kansas City Optometric Society.

Stephen Lile, OD, earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry and completed an internship with Irwin Army Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas. Dr. Lile is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Kansas Optometric Association. He conducts consultations for LASIK, SMILE, Full Focus® Vision Correction and other laser vision correction procedures at Discover Vision Centers’ Leawood and The Legends-KCK locations.

Brent Parsons, OD, received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry and completed optometry internships with Ireland Army Hospital and Omaha Eye Institute. He treats ocular disease and conducts refractive surgery consultations for LASIK, SMILE and Full Focus Vision Correction. Dr. Parsons is a member of the Missouri Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and Heart of American Contact Lens Society.

Glen Pate, OD, earned his Degree in Optometry from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. In 2003, he received the Alcon Scholars Award and he has been recognized as “Best Optometrist” by readers of the NPG community poll several times. Dr. Pate specializes in the management of routine and medical eye care and conducts consultations for refractive surgery.
