More About Vision Correction at Turner Eye Clinic
At Turner Eye Clinic, Dr. Turner and his team of vision professionals are dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care in a safe, comforting environment. Each patient receives the team’s undivided attention from the first phone call through the final follow-up visit. Dr. Turner is committed to providing his patients with the most effective laser vision correction treatments, which is why his facility features the latest LASIK equipment, including the advanced VISX STAR S4 excimer laser platform with CustomVue technology.
Dr. Turner uses the advanced IntraLase laser to perform the first step of the LASIK procedure – the creation of the corneal flap. (In standard LASIK, the flap is made with a blade.) Before reshaping the cornea with a second laser (the excimer laser), Wavescan Wavefront technology is used to create a 3-D map of the patient’s eye, which identifies irregularities that go undetected in traditional LASIK scans. Dr. Turner uses this map to program the excimer laser to gently reshape the patient’s cornea so that it can properly refract light rays. By combining the IntraLase, WaveScan Wavefront and excimer laser technologies, Dr. Turner is able to achieve a highly customized LASIK treatment that leads to more rewarding vision correction results.
In addition to laser vision correction, Dr. Turner also offers a variety of cataract treatments, including the crystalens accommodating intraocular lens (to simultaneously correct for near and distance vision) and AcrySoft Toric lenses (for the correction of astigmatism).
