AcrySof Toric implants
for astigmatism

Dr. Taupeka performs the advanced “no-stitch” cataract surgery, a method that promotes higher levels of safety and patient comfort. During the procedure special anesthetic medication is used to numb the eye and dilute the pupils. Next, a small, self-sealing incision is made on the surface of the eye to extract the clouded lens. Finally, the lens is replaced with an artificial implant designed to mimic the functions of the natural lens. Eye Health Partners and VisionAmerica of Mobile offers patients the most advanced intraocular lens implants available, including AcrySof ReSTOR, AcrySof Toric (astigmatism correcting) and Crystalens.

Visian lens implants

Dr. Taupeka also performs LASIK eye surgery and PRK. In addition, the practice provides a range of other eye care services, which allows them to address the diverse eye health needs of their patients in Mobile, Ala.
