About Mark Mandel, MD

Mark R. Mandel, MD
Mark Mandel, MD, received both his undergraduate degree and master’s degree from Oxford University in England, where he graduated with honors. From there, he went on to the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. Following this, Mark Mandel, MD, completed his ophthalmology residency at San Francisco’s Pacific Presbyterian Hospital. In addition, Mark Mandel, MD, spent the subsequent year at the University of Iowa, so he could concentrate on the subspecialties of external eye conditions (e.g., dry eye) and corneal transplant surgery.

Mark Mandel, MD, teaches at the University of California, Berkeley and the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He also teaches and lectures at other institutions across the United States and abroad on topics such as cataract, corneal and refractive surgery, as well as dry eye and MGD.
