Inside the
Clavenna Vision Institute

The eye surgeons at Clavenna Vision Institute perform the latest cataract surgery techniques at TruVista Surgery Center, a leading-edge outpatient facility specializing in cataract surgery. During the procedure, our surgeons create a small, self-sealing, suture-less incision in the eye which allows for faster healing and recovery. Next, they break up the clouded lens (cataract) through a highly sophisticated process known as phacoemulsification, and remove the cataract. Once the clouded lens has been extracted, the surgeons replace it with a high-tech intraocular lens implant (IOL). Intraocular lens implants such as AcrySof ReSTOR, ReZoom, Tecnis and Toric lenses are uniquely designed to restore vision following cataract surgery and treat most pre-existing vision correction needs, including nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism. Following a meticulous examination of your unique vision needs, Drs. Clavenna and Fitzgerald will help you decide which lens implant is best for you.

In addition to cataract surgery, the Clavenna Vision Institute offers a wide range of other vision correction procedures, including iLASIK,which is the most advanced LASIK utilizing only lasers as well as treatment of presbyopia, glaucoma and macular degeneration. The eye surgeons at Clavenna Vision Institute are also trained to provide patients with elective facial rejuvenation procedures, including eyelid surgery and Botox injections.

“I am pleased to have this opportunity to compliment Dr. Clavenna together with his colleagues for their professionalism on my behalf.” —Jeryl M.

“Thanks to Dr. Clavenna, my recent cataract surgeries were so successful. I am thrilled to say that at age 73, I have perfect vision. I am totally free of glasses and contacts, and I can see better than or as well as any of my twelve grandchildren. Dr. Carl Clavenna is a gifted surgeon and a polite, compassionate gentleman. His staff at both offices and the surgical center was outstanding and very professional. I am so happy I made the Clavenna Connection!” —Joan P.

“I have been a patient of Clavenna Vision Institute for many years. Dr. Clavenna diagnosed my glaucoma two years ago and has kept it under control since that time. Dr. Clavenna advised me that I would need surgery to correct my cataracts. I put it off until I could no longer see my golf ball when I hit my drives. Wow! You cannot believe what a difference it made since Dr. Clavenna restored my vision to 20/20. I now enjoy the beauty of color with new brightness. The cataract surgery was done at TruVista Surgery Center. The staff was very pleasant and professional and Dr. Clavenna was so efficient. I had no pain during or after the cataract surgery. I was amazed when I received a call from Dr. Clavenna at 5:30 p.m. the day of surgery to ask how I was getting along. That’s above and beyond the call of duty. If anyone ever needs this kind of care believe me when I say, Call Dr. Clavenna. He is the BEST!!! I am so happy.” —Clinton T.
