Individuals seeking first-class medical and surgical eye care in Brisbane trust the team at The Eye Health Centre. Dr Andrew Apel and Dr John Hogden are widely known for providing treatment for refractive errors, cataracts, dry eye disease, keratoconus and other eye disorders in a warm, welcoming and compassionate environment. Both doctors believe in tailoring care to the individual patient for the best outcomes and the highest patient satisfaction.

Laser Eye Surgery in Brisbane

The Eye Health Centre offers the latest laser vision correction technology in the Brisbane area. In addition to conventional LASIK surgery, the doctors also offer SMILE (small incision lenticular extraction) and Surface PRK (photorefractive keratectomy). In Surface PRK, patients experience a flap-free, blade-free approach unlike the other techniques available. The surface epithelial cells of the eye are gently removed and a laser is used to reshape the cornea so it can better focus light entering the eye. The entire process is completed in 10 to 15 minutes and the recovery is a mere three to five days.

The doctors at The Eye Health Centre are also extremely experienced in the treatment of cataracts with advanced IOLs (intraocular lens implants) that allow independence from glasses at all viewing distances.
