Serving patients seeking cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens implants in Johannesburg and the surrounding area
Stef Guglielmetti, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmic surgeon who offers cataract surgery and other eye surgeries to patients in Johannesburg, South Africa. His specialized training in cataract surgery, glaucoma and corneal surgery has made him one of the most highly respected eye surgeons in his field.
At JHB Vision Clinic, Dr. Guglielmetti’s private practice, he and his staff are committed to individualized patient care. His cataract removal procedure involves the placement of premium intraocular lens implants (IOLs), including Zeiss multifocal and toric lenses, both of which restore the unclouded vision patients had before the onset of cataracts and, in some cases, give patients clearer near and distance vision than ever before! Patients who undergo cataract surgery with Dr. Guglielmetti can expect a complete removal of cataracts, which will be replaced with a clear lens implant or a premium IOL implant that will eliminate or significantly reduce their need for glasses or contact lenses.

More about Cataract Surgery at JHB Vision Clinic
During Dr. Guglielmetti’s cataract removal procedure, he will first perform careful measurements of your eye’s cornea (the transparent outer layer of the eye), which will be used to tailor the surgery to your specific needs. The procedure involves creating a small incision in the cornea and removing the eye lens that has been clouded by a cataract. He will then replace the lens with a premium IOL that will correct refractive errors in your eye that cause nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. The entire cataract treatment takes less than 30 minutes, during which your eyes will be numbed with anesthetic drops. Most patients find that they can return to work, driving and other daily activities one to two days after surgery. They will also notice an immediate and vast improvement in their eyesight, for both far and near vision, when they select premium intraocular lenses to correct their vision.
