QUALITY VS. QUANTITY
At UT Southwestern Laser Center for Vision care, what you see is what you get.
The highest levels of expertise and the most advanced equipment ensure each patient receives optimal vision correction from the surgeons at UT Southwestern Laser Center for Vision Care.
Beware of “deals” or “as low as” advertised prices offered by other surgeons. These ads are frequently used to attract patients and then add-ons inflate the final price. A surgeon’s practice should always be professionally driven, not profit-driven.
At UT Southwestern, we are upfront about all of our customized vision correction surgeries. When we provide you a price, it includes all of your eye care for all stages of the preparation, surgery and aftercare. Unlike other centers, at UT Southwestern each patient sees his or her doctor during every step of care – at the very first pre-operative visit, during surgery and throughout post-operative care. Our reputation for excellent patient care is a testament to the surgical team’s dedication to providing optimal visual outcomes for each patient.
The board-certified ophthalmologists at UT Southwestern Laser Center for Vision Care are recognized nationally and internationally for creating a center of excellence in refractive surgery. All of the surgeons have fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery. They complement their extensive education by staying on the leading edge of advancements in vision correction through continued research, innovation and teaching. UT Southwestern is a premier investigational center for new advances in vision correction surgery.

More About UT Southwestern Laser Center for Vision Care
At UT Southwestern, every patient is meticulously examined and treated by the surgical team. LASIK surgery is performed using either a VISX STAR S4/IR Excimer Laser System; the Intralase iFS 150; or the ALLEGRETTO WAVE® Excimer Laser System. Combined with a wavefront-guided platform, each of these systems can give patients customized vision correction. During treatment, the refractive surgeons measure the corneal curvature and create a custom profile of each eye. These advanced technologies allow the surgeons to determine the patient’s best option for laser vision correction. For patients interested in a bladeless version of LASIK, the center offers the IntraLase, or “All Laser LASIK,” technique. UT Southwestern’s combination of FDA- approved laser technologies and comprehensive surgeon training and experience has provided numerous patients with excellent results.
The UT Southwestern Laser Center for Vision Care also offers state-of-the-art advances in presbyopia-correcting IOL (intraocular lenses) surgery, including the “no needle, no stitch, no patch” surgical technique. In conjunction with this surgery, the center also offers some of the newest lenses available, including the ReSTOR lens, which corrects for both distance and reading vision. STAAR ICLs (implantable contact lenses) are also available for many refractive candidates who could not safely have LASIK surgery, such as patients with severe myopia or dry eyes.
Although the UT Southwestern surgeons are on the leading edge of new technology in eye care, they are conservative in their approach to vision correction surgery. A comprehensive screening process is used to help create treatment plans that address each patient’s unique vision correction needs.
