More About Lewis Groden, MD

Dr. Groden completed his undergraduate degree at Williams College and his doctor of medicine at State University of New York in Buffalo, School of Medicine. He performed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Hospital and specialty fellowship training at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He serves on the faculty at the University of South Florida, Department of Ophthalmology, where he teaches upcoming eye surgeons about advances in laser vision correction. He is an active member of major ophthalmology organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Groden was recently presented with the Light of Sight Award because of his exceptional dedication to Lions Eye Institute for Transplant and Research through his philanthropic contributions, volunteerism and other good works.
