Serving patients seeking LASIK surgery in Rochester and the surrounding areas

Cornerstone Eye Associates is a leading Rochester, N.Y., LASIK center. Serving the area for more than 50 years, the Cornerstone Eye Associates team is committed to delivering quality care and excellent visual outcomes. With three locations throughout Rochester, the LASIK team is able to help a diverse group of patients achieve the clear, crisp vision they deserve.

To enhance the LASIK experience and improve results, the Cornerstone Eye Associates team uses state-of-the-art technology, which can identify any contraindications or possible complications early in the process. This technology also helps customize treatment to the individual patient’s unique refractive error(s) and vision needs. The team also works closely with every patient to tailor treatment to their lifestyle.

Cornerstone Eye Associates is a full service ophthalmology practice that also offers treatment of common eye disorders and diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye and more.

More about LASIK at Cornerstone Eye Associates

LASIK is one of the best ways to correct refractive errors and provide independence from visual aids. Prior to the short, practically painless procedure, detailed information is recorded about the patient’s specific vision problems. This information is then used to craft the surgical plan.

To begin, a small flap is created in the cornea. The flap is gently lifted and an excimer laser is used to reshape the underlying tissue and give the cornea a normal curvature. After the cornea has been properly reshaped, the flap is restored to its original position on the cornea, where it heals itself.

The LASIK procedure takes 10 to 15 minutes per eye and is not painful. Patients can return home shortly after the surgery and many are pleased to find their vision has noticeably improved as soon as the next day.

What Patients Say about Cornerstone Eye Associates

“I’m so happy that I finally went through with the surgery. After contemplating this for many years I took the plunge. The staff were polite, helpful and very attentive. The doctors were amazing. After only one day I am at 20/20 (something that I have not obtained in over 20 years even with glasses). I am so pleased with my experience at Cornerstone, and will refer everyone to the practice that is even thinking about getting the procedure done. Thank you for a wonderful experience and I will be forever grateful that I chose your center to have my eyes done as you definitely adhere to going above and beyond the “professional standard”. Thank you again.” – anonymous

“Everyone that work with me were great, pleasant, and were very professional. I would refer all my friends and family to Cornerstone. Thank you.” – anonymous
